MY SHOOT MAKEUP
I love makeup and experimenting with looks, but when it comes to shooting for Felix and Scott, it's all about being paired back and minimal with my beauty look. I try to keep everything super simple, light and more about my skin than anything, because let's face it, I don't want to show you someone that I'm not. I'm honest with you all in every other aspect of my brand and I love to be honest with the way I look, even in my photos.
I've created a list of the products I used for the look, so you too can rock the minimal makeup look.
I always start with a face oil and my favourite is Go-To Face Hero, then use a Moisturiser straight over the top, I love Drunk Elephant La La Retro Whip. Normally for everyday I would use a serum and eye cream, but when I shoot, I'll head out for a day and shoot several outfits so my makeup normally comes straight off, when I get home. For foundation, I've been loving Skin o2 Foundation in shade 003 which I buff on with there own brush. I never ever put makeup down the centre of my nose, I just blend everything around it. I find that if you keep your nose free from makeup, it makes you look like you've got no makeup on and that is essentially what we're aiming for. For bronzer, I always use Hourglass with a Mecca exclusive bronzing brush, and for highlighter I use my finger to dab on a small amount of Josie Maran Argan Oil Illuminator on the top of my cheekbones, chin and cupids bow. Add a touch of Hourglass blush in Luminous Flush on the apples of the cheek, brush out your brows and use a brown coloured gel to keep them put. For shadow I use the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette in a middle shade (sometimes matte, sometimes shimmer), then finish off with Model Co Mascara. When it comes to lips, I'm normally run out of the house with my arms full of clothes, so I just add a Mecca Lip Balm.
