I TRIED ESMI SKIN TREATS FOR A MONTH...
For the past month, I've been trialling the new Esmi Skin Treats, which are both 100% Australian made and healthy for your skin. I added three serums from the range into my beauty routine, to test out the powers of natural ingredients and also be able to give you the best recommendation on how to use the serums together.
A little background on Esmi Skin, started in Australia, as a cruelty free and vegan company, the skin treats were introduced to energise skin, reduce melanin and pigmentation, as well as being high in anti-oxidants to assist the skin to be the best it can be.
I started with the Pomegranate Brightening Serum and trialled it for a few day, before I began to introduce the other serums, just to really give it a great go on my skin and also get my skin used to the new products. This was by far my favourite serum! Not only did it leave my skin feeling fresh and bright, it reduced inflammation and redness in my skin, both day and night. I applied a tiny amount (1-2 drops) into my hands, then pat the serum onto my skin, every morning after cleansing and before moisturiser and sun screen. Packed full of Vitamin C which is my absolute favourite for skin, it brightened my skin almost immediately and created glowy skin, that made it easier to either wear no makeup, or begin to wear less foundation. Not only does this serum brighten, but whilst it is visibly changing your skin, the kakadu plum and liquorice works deep in the skin, to repair tired and damaged skin, whilst fighting free radicals so that your skin, remains undamaged from pollutants.
After four days of the Pomegranate Brightening Serum, I decided to add the Anti-Redness Minty Green Smoothie to the mix. I was a little unsure about this one as it works to reduce redness and also speed up healing in your skin, so instead of going all out and applying it all over my face, I decided to use it after the brightening serum, on only the red patches of my face, which is generally my cheeks, across the top of my nose (where I have a scar) and on my chin. I have pink undertones to my skin, which can give the impression of redness, but not always is. I focused more on the areas that are red when I first wake up in the morning. I immediately loved the feel of this on this skin, especially with the mint which is calming and cooling for red patches, and also with the caffeine, which reduces puffiness and water retention in my cheeks. After a month of trialling the Anti-Redness Minty Green Smoothie, this is the one that I apply only when needed, as it is quite potent and fast acting. I love that on the cooler days, it hydrates and reduces redness from windburn, and then on warmer days, I only apply when my skin is irritated from sun exposure, or excess of makeup and perspiration.
For the past couple of months, I've really tried to treat my skin with treatments at a beauticians, to give my skin a little extra TLC, that I can't give it. I've been getting a lunchtime peel, once a month, as well as LED light treatment, to really activate and detoxify my skin. It's always the best feeling, leaving a skin clinic with gorgeous, glowy skin, but then how do we keep our skin exactly like that in between visits? The Detoxifying Exfoliating Charcoal Serum is the answer! I had to play around with this serum a little, just to get the right amount and also get my skin used to it, as I do occasionally get sensitive skin which can react to highly acidic products. Once I found the correct balance between skin clinic visits and applying the serum at home, my skin was the best it has ever been, and this product is magical. I use this every third to fourth night, depending on when I wash my hair really. I jump in the shower, cleanse my skin and dry my face, then apply two drops to my face, avoiding the areas around my eyes. I generally wash my hair, while waiting just over five minutes for the serum to work, then once I'm done, I wet the charcoal brush which comes with the Detoxifying Exfoliating Charcoal Serum, and buff off dead skin cells, giving me renewed skin and kicking off my skin's cycle.
I absolutely love all three of the skin treats and cannot wait to try out more! The vegan and all natural treats, are equivalent to a salon treatment, only easier because you can use them at home and create your own routine to continue to keep your skin at it's best for good.
