THE TRAVEL GUIDE: CINQUE TERRE
Oh Cinque Terre, is such a beautiful spot in the world. Whether you're eating lunch on the side of a cliff in Manarola or hiring a boat in Riomaggiore, it is out of this world. Just sitting and looking at all the incredible houses built on the side of cliffs and lingering over the ocean, it is beyond stunning and breathtaking and you can see a little of Monterosso in my Italy Vlog here.
Now where to stay. There are 6 different locations in Cinque Terre, 5 are the towns that make up Cinque Terre and one is the main city that the trains come into, La Spezia. I highly recommend staying in Monterosso, on of the 5 towns, as it is the most accessible one. Compared to Riomaggiore and Manarola, it is quite flat, most trains do go there from Milan or Rome, and you're able to easily carry your bags to a any airbnb in the town. We stayed here which was absolutely amazing! I do not work with airbnb, I just always use the site and love to share the amazing places that I do stay it. Where we stayed was a one bedroom apartment, above a supermarket and overlooking lemon tree's which was absolutely gorgeous, I would highly recommend staying there.
When it comes to eating, most restaurants are amazing, especially for seafood!
Our favourite restaurant in Monterosso is Torre Aurora. It's on top of the cliff in Monterosso, looking over the entire town. With spectacular views and menu to match, it is the most gorgeous date night venue, for a romantic night.

Ristorante Belvedere on the beach in Monterosso, has the most incredible seafood soup and you have to order it. It is packed with crab, prawn, squid, octopus and local fish, in the tastiest broth, served with garlic bread, it is to die for.
Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi, 38, 19016 Monterosso al Mare SP, Italy
A recommendation from my cousin, was Nessun Dorma in Manarola, and the ideal lunch spot. Don't be scared when you turn up and there is a line, it does move quickly as they serve the most luxurious cheese boards along with a Negroni or wine, so people eat and enjoy the view and then move one, plus every single table has an amazing view so no matter what table is available, just take it.
Localita Punta Bonfiglio, 19017 Manarola, Riomaggiore SP, Italy
Visit the five regions of Cinque Terre. Whether it by train by which takes about 15 minutes between each town, or hiking which can take a few hours, it is the only way to actually see Cinque Terre. Monterosso was a great home base as it was quiet and had amazing restaurants. It also meant, we could have breakfast at a local bakery, then catch the train to Manarola for lunch, have a drink in Riomaggiore, then head home for dinner. Next time we go, we'll be able to stay in Monterosso, and do the same but go to Liguria and Vernazza instead of the other two.
