THEY'RE OPPEN ALL DAY

When you stumble upon a hidden gem, it has to be one of the best feelings. Oppen All Day is new to the Melbourne food scene, and is not only beautifully designed interior wise, but the menu and food is so well thought out, it’s a cafe you’ll spend hours in. From the pre midday cocktail list, through to the breakfast board complete with sukkah crusted avocado and scramble eggs, Oppen All Day in Windsor has quickly made its way to the top of my must visit list.

OVEREATING AT FAT ALBERT

Just edging off Albert Road, there is a fat looking building, in all shades of salmon. It is a strange out of the way spot, catering for the locals in the area, which means that it is not one bit pretentious, and is filled to the brim mid week with it’s neighbours working on laptops, walking their dogs or catching up with friends

QUEENSTOWN FAVOURITE: NO5 CHURCH LANE

As part of our Queenstown getaway we booked into No5 Church Lane for a stunning dinner in the most beautiful restaurant, complete with fireplace and wall of wine bottles. We were greeted with the cocktail list which we couldn’t resist we had to try, along with a local bottle of wine, which we were told No5 will be revamping their wine list to include only local wines which we absolutely loved the idea of and can’t wait to try next time.

AMONG THE CHOOKS AT BROTHER HEN

Two chefs, three chickens and the legendary golden gaytime (which I didn't eat because I was trying to be good, but next time) and you have Brother Hen. HELLO VEGAN ITALIAN, AT SHOP 225

Once we got back from Italy, all we wanted was incredible pizza and an aperol spritz, but it was time to get back on the diet since our return and try our hardest to stick to a vegan diet. I always say I'm 80% vegan, mainly because when we eat out or head to an event, it can become quite difficult to find an option that's completely vegan.

SUNRISE AT BENTWOOD

Bentwood is by far one of my favourite brunch spots in Melbourne and I find myself visiting more than monthly now. Its become one of those places, that when we wake up and decide what we feel like for breakfast, we're always thinking about so many places to try, and always without fail end up at Bentwood just because it is so easy, the service is always incredible and the food so delicious, it's become our home away from home.

HAVING A GOOD TIME

Another Melbourne eatery with an epic menu! I have no idea how every time I visit a new cafe in Melbourne, it is just better than everywhere I've been before, but that is exactly what happens. Not only is the decor so much fun, with a pastel themed milk bar, full of colour, but the food is beyond!
